How DOT Transport works
A short, honest walkthrough of every step from sign up to the moment you step off the bus.
1. Create your account
Enter your name, university email, matric number, department and WhatsApp number. We send a one time link to your email. Click it once to set your password and you are in.
2. Pick a trip
Choose a direction (school to state, or state to school), then a state, then a published date. You see real seats, real times, real prices.
3. Hold your seat
When you choose a seat, the system locks it for fifteen minutes. The countdown is shown on screen. If you do not pay in time, the seat is released and someone else can take it.
4. Pay with Squad
Pay with your card or transfer through Squad. We confirm only after Squad tells our server the payment cleared. Your seat is then yours permanently and a ticket is generated.
5. Get your boarding pass
Download a PDF ticket with your name, matric number, route, date, departure time, bus, and a five character code your driver can verify in a second.
6. Day of travel
Everyone on your bus joins a live group chat the moment the trip is published. Coordination, delays, gate changes, all in one place. Your driver has the full passenger list on their phone.
7. After arrival
Once the trip arrives, you receive a short thank you message and a feedback prompt. Feedback goes to the Directorate and helps them improve the next trip.
